Maggie Shaw, DDS, MSD
Meet Dr. Shaw, board-certified Periodontist in Charlotte, NC
Dr. Maggie Shaw graduated dental school from Virginia Commonwealth University and immediately began her three year periodontal residency at the Medical University of South Carolina. During her residency, she received extensive training in complex implant placement, soft tissue (gum) grafting, ridge and sinus augmentations, surgical extractions, IV sedation, laser therapy, and the prevention and treatment of advanced periodontal disease. She also completed her masters of science in implant research while serving as chief resident her final year. Dr. Shaw is a Diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology (Board-Certified).
Dr. Shaw strives to provide excellent patient care by building a strong rapport with patients, understanding their unique needs and concerns, and creating an honest and open dialog to determine the best treatment available for each individual.
Dr. Shaw is passionate about continuing education and keeping up with the latest and least invasive procedures. She is active in community service and has completed numerous hours volunteering underserved populations during dental school, residency, and while living in Charlotte.
When not practicing periodontics, Dr. Shaw enjoys spending time with her husband and son. She loves hiking with her dog, playing soccer and golf, and attending Charlotte sporting events.
