Kian Azarnoush, DMD, MSD

Meet Dr. Azarnoush, Board-Certified Periodontist

Dr. Kian Azarnoush is a diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology, board certified in periodontics and dental implant surgery. He grew up in Texas where he began his educational career at the University of Texas earning a B.S. in Microbiology and M.S. in Cell biology conducting research on novel diabetes therapy. He went on to obtain his Doctorate in Dental Medicine degree (DMD) from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine in Boston, Massachusetts where he graduated with honors and distinction in clinical periodontology.

He attended Virginia Commonwealth University for specialty training in periodontics and dental implant surgery where he also received I.V. sedation certification allowing him to perform procedures for his patients in a comfortable setting. While in residency Dr. Kian continued his science research earning a second Master of Science degree studying the effects of locally administered antibiotics on the progression of periodontal disease.

His passion for dentistry stems from his background in science and his desire to make a positive impact in the lives of others. His objective is to provide patients with a comfortable experience while achieving the most esthetic and predictable outcome. He currently lives in Charlotte with his wife Dr. Farrell Irons and their French bulldog, Aubi. Dr. Kian is an avid sports fan and enjoys an active lifestyle traveling and spending time with his family. In his free time, he attends continuing education courses to stay current with the latest technology and innovations in his specialty.
